2009 Gala Event & Awards Ceremony

The Second Annual Sunshine Coast Business Awards of Distinction Gala Event was held on February 27, 2009 at the Sunshine Coast Golf & Country Club. Over 110 award finalists, sponsors, judges and their guests enjoyed an evening of dressup and revelry to honour the best and brightest in business on the Coast in ten award categories.

The evening began with an hour of mingling in the Augusta Grill with complimentary champagne and cash bar, followed by introductions of the event sponsors and Business Society staff and volunteers.

Attendees enjoyed a wonderful dinner prepared and served by Jim Mackie and staff from Eventful Chef Catering in Gibson.

After introducing the three Finalists in each award category, the category sponsor opened the sealed envelope and announced the category Winner.

The awards ceremony was followed by a rocking dance featuring Gaetan Bergevin and the Steel Hip Band.
