Nomination Guidelines


Nominations are now closed. Thanks to everyone who took the time to nominate their favourite business.


Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for an award, the nominee business must:

  1. Be owned and operated on the Sunshine Coast.
  2. Have been operating for 3 years (except for the Peter Thompson Award which is for startup businesses).
  3. Demonstrate overall excellence, with extraordinary excellence in the specific award category criteria.

Also:

  • A business sponsoring a specific category award cannot nominate nor be nominated in the category it is sponsoring; however it can nominate or be nominated in any other award category.
  • Major Sponsors and Media Sponsors are eligible for nomination and may nominate others for all awards.
  • Any business (except a sponsor) can self-nominate and can nominate other businesses for any award category.

You may nominate your own business or another deserving business, in one or more of the Award Categories.

Suggestions for preparing your nomination(s):

  • Review the Nominations Guidelines (above on this page)
  • Jot down some notes (in a text-only word processor e.g. Notepad) about why you think the business deserves to be nominated — then you can simply copy and paste the information into the online form.
