Background

The Society was formed in 2003 by a grassroots group of business persons to make a difference in the local business community by developing supports, resources and referrals.

The first project and product was the Bottom Line program. Still operating today, the objective was to help local businesses between 1 -3 years of age. Bottom Line is based on BC Hydro's successful Business Care program.

Bottom Line services are volunteer and are donated by local business people. To date we have helped 35 Sunshine Coast businesses find the resources and referrals they needed to make a difference in their bottom line.

Our Mission

The mission of the Sunshine Coast Business Retention and Expansion Society (SCBRES) is:

  1. To connect local businesses on British Columbia's Sunshine Coast
  2. To support business and growth
  3. To inspire, motivate and educate
  4. To promote entrepreneurial spirit
  5. To provide valuable tools, information and resources to business to support their future growth and success
  6. To acknowledge participating service providers and sponsors for their support toward small business success.
